The Oak Cliff Foundation

The Oak Cliff Foundation was founded in 1973 as the philanthropic arm of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce. Our mission remains to improve life in Oak Cliff through economic development, beautification, and education.

In 2001, the foundation took a big step to improve life in Oak Cliff by purchasing the historic Texas Theatre on Jefferson Boulevard. The vision of the foundation is to see a cleaner, safer and diverse series of businesses along Jefferson Boulevard. The revitalization of the Texas Theatre will create a new destination for the performing arts and movies in Oak Cliff.

Additionally, the Oak Cliff Foundation in partnership with the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce has begun median improvements along Zang Boulevard.

The Oak Cliff Alumni Association is housed at the Oak Cliff Foundation. The association keeps folks up to date on Oak Cliff happenings and provides an outlet to make a difference in your hometown of yesteryear.

Finally, the Oak Cliff Foundation issues scholarships to deserving students and teachers to underscore the importance we place on educating Oak Cliffites and our local institutions of learning.
